Because yoga should meet you where you are.
The name Kosha 5 comes from the five layers of the whole person: the body, breath and energy, mind, inner wisdom, and sense of connection. Our classes are designed to support all five — not simply how flexible you are or how a pose looks.
Whether you're stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time or have practiced for years, you'll receive clear guidance, helpful options, and space to move at your own pace. Some days you may need strength and challenge; other days, rest and quiet. Both belong here.
You don't need to be flexible or experienced. Just come as you are.

Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and Pilates rings are all here — bring water and nothing else. Every class is taught with modifications; tell your teacher about injuries before you start.
Sculpt and Bliss & Infuse are now held in a room warmed to 85–90°F — warm enough to open the body and build a real sweat, gentle enough to breathe easily the whole hour. Heated sessions are marked on the schedule, so you always know which class you're walking into.

Kosha 5 is a labor of love — born from a deep devotion to yoga and its power to heal.
We opened our doors in 2021, during the height of the pandemic, recognizing how deeply our community needed grounding, connection, and the quiet magic of yoga during uncertain times.
Zarfeen designed Kosha 5 with the same care and love she gives to her own home. Every detail — from the lighting and textures to the overall feel of the room — was thoughtfully chosen to help students feel comfortable and cared for. Her hope is that, from the moment you enter the studio, you feel transported away from the rush of everyday life and can settle onto your mat in a space that feels calm, beautiful, and quietly luxurious.
We offer a warm and welcoming space for students of all backgrounds — embracing the modern expression of Western yoga while staying rooted in its ancient traditions.

We want the yoga tribe and our community to celebrate life, and we build our classes and events in that direction. Our doors are open to people of all races, orientations and demographics, and the practice is offered with the individual's long-term emotional and physical wellbeing in mind.
The studio embraces the techniques of yoga as prescribed in the ancient scriptures and adapts them to meet the needs of modern life — a holistic approach to fitness and emotional health rather than a workout with Sanskrit on top.

Eight teachers — therapists, dancers, attorneys, mothers, travellers — who each found their way to the mat for a different reason, and teach from it.
Founder · Owner · Yoga therapist · Lead instructor
Born and raised in India, Zarfeen brings her cultural roots and deep appreciation for yogic philosophy into everything she teaches. Her classes are breath-led, alignment-focused, and thoughtfully designed to help students of all levels feel supported and connected.
Zarfeen is an 850-hour Yoga Therapist through IAYT and a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, with additional training in trauma-informed yoga, meditation, and children's yoga.
She founded Kosha 5 with the same care and love she gives to her own home — creating a welcoming, beautiful space where students can step away from daily life, reconnect with themselves, and experience the deeper purpose of yoga.
Yoga Instructor
I came to yoga in 2018 while recovering from surgeries for breast and lung cancer. Yoga was the medicine I needed to heal and regain strength and confidence in my body. It also gave me the clarity to see that I was burned out from my career as a corporate attorney and needed a life change. In 2021 I retired and switched gears to become a certified yoga instructor (RYT 500) and yoga therapist (C-IAYT). My hope is to guide others to the same peace, joy and purpose — and to make yoga accessible for all bodies and abilities.
Yoga Teacher
In my quest to deal with stress I began taking yoga seriously in 2018 and fell in love with how it made me feel. I completed 200 hours of teacher training in 2021. In class I weave together breath, movement, meditation and mindfulness, encouraging students to foster a deeper connection with their inner selves, release stress from the body and embrace a state of profound relaxation. I believe that by nurturing the seeds of tranquility within each individual, we cultivate a more peaceful world — one breath at a time.
Yoga Teacher
With 14 years of personal practice and experience teaching in fitness and wellness settings, Sung brings an inclusive, energetic and approachable style. She teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, Power, Aerial, Kundalini, Iyengar, Restorative and Chair Yoga, adapting to different levels and needs. Her teaching combines clear cueing, thoughtful sequencing, modifications, breathwork, mobility, strength and mindfulness — yoga that is both challenging and accessible, in a supportive space for every student to explore and grow.
Yoga Teacher
Artis took his first class in 2013 and was hooked — soon practising several classes a day. Within a year he completed his 200-hour certification at Atma Bodha Yoga in Virginia Beach, teaching there for five years, then in Atlanta and Augusta. He now lives in Fullerton with his wife and daughter, teaches Vinyasa, beginner yoga, meditation, pranayama and yogic philosophy, and offers private lessons.
Yoga Instructor
Cheryl discovered yoga in 2009 and fell for the connection between movement, breath and mindfulness. She completed her 200-hour training and has continued through advanced trainings with CorePower Yoga and specialised coursework in trauma-informed yoga. A dedicated Vinyasa instructor, she teaches classes that are welcoming to all levels — drawing on years in wellness and recovery settings to blend mindful movement, breathwork and meditation that build strength, increase flexibility and reduce stress.
Yoga Instructor
Elizabeth is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher and Barre Intensity® certified barre instructor with a lifelong passion for movement. With a background in ballet, dance, aerobics, barre, strength training and yoga, she brings a balance of grace, creativity and strength, and is continuing toward her 500-hour certification. Her classes blend strength-building movement with the flow and mindfulness of yoga — challenging and joyful, grounding and accessible.
Yoga Instructor
I’ve recently fallen in love with yoga. My body reached a point where I needed to slow down from the intensity of the dance fitness world, and yoga became the perfect transition — physically and mentally. Taking a leap of faith, I signed up for teacher training in summer 2025, and I completed it right here at Kosha 5 as part of Cohort 2. This journey has been incredibly grounding, and I can’t wait to keep growing, learning and sharing the practice.
Teacher training runs in cohorts at the studio — Ashley qualified with Cohort 2.
Ask about trainingA Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour program led through the lens of the five koshas — equal weight on the physical practice and the subtle body. Small cohorts, one-on-one attention, taught in our Fullerton studio.
A non-refundable payment of $500 holds your spot. Flexible payment plans are available.
Deepen your practice
Contrary to popular notion, teacher training can be done purely to enhance your own practice. It grows your knowledge of anatomy, alignment, philosophy and the subtle body, and gives you an enriching experience on the path of yoga.
Become a teacher
Teaching yoga is an alternative career path and a way to share what you love. Whether you are a full-time professional or starting fresh, it is feasible — and fulfilling enough on its own that you can do as much or as little of it as you want.
Sculpt / Mat Pilates, Ayurveda and Meditation training are included — so you leave able to teach or practise in those formats too.
Unlimited membership for the three months of your training — a $480 value — so you practise as much as you learn.
We keep cohorts intimate so every trainee gets one-on-one attention. Spots are limited — act early.
Count on being guided at every step of the program, with flexible payment plans if you need them.
Our core faculty for the training, joined by esteemed guest teachers throughout the program.
